In Accordance with Definition as Set Forth by State of Illinois Department of Public Health
  • Admission to the pool is refused to all persons having any contagious disease or infected condition.
  • Foods, drink, and gum will be allowed ONLY on the patio and observation deck. THIS IS A NO SMOKING facility.
  • All persons must shower with soap before entering pool area. Bathers who leave pool area must shower again upon returning. Do not use showers for play area.
  • Personal conduct in pool and bathhouse must be such that the safety of the individual and others is not jeopardized.
  • People in street clothes or shoes shall not be allowed in the pool area.
  • No non-swimming apparel is to be worn in the pool.
  • No glass items are to be brought into the facility.
  • No dogs or other pets will be permitted in the pool area.
  • Public health regulations require all infants and toddlers not toilet trained to wear tight-fitting rubber or plastic pants over the diapers OR disposables specifically made for use while swimming to keep from contaminating the water.
  • Children who are not toilet trained will be allowed in the medium or baby pool but will not be allowed in the main/ large pool!
  • For the health and safety of all of the pool members, we will require assistance in complying with this important health regulation.

POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS – All members and the members’ guests are responsible for observing rules and regulations governing pool policies and activities. These rules are provided to ensure your safety and enjoyment. We would appreciate your efforts in making sure that the users of the Club’s facilities are familiar with these policies. Some of the rules are posted on signs in the pool area and on the bulletin boards. Please familiarize your family with all of the rules of the club. They are posted on the website link entitled “Rules and Regulations”. Please remember that there is to be no food, or drinks (with the exception of water ONLY) allowed around any of the pools at any time. Also, no alcoholic beverages are allowed at the pool. except at the 4th of July party and at the adult nights. This is a NO SMOKING facility.

For the safety of all of the pool members, we will continue to strictly enforce our policy that children who are not toilet trained will be allowed access to the medium and baby pools ONLY!

In addition, public health regulations require all infants and toddlers not toilet trained to wear tight-fitting rubber or plastic pants over the diapers OR disposables specifically made for use while swimming to keep from contaminating the waters in the medium and baby pools. Please show respect… changing tables are available in each of the locker rooms!

General rules

No glass on the pool deck. No food or drinks in the pool or on deck. Unnecessary conversations with or annoying a lifeguard while on duty is not permitted. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at CWSC (excluding adult parties or July 4th party). No running on the pool deck. No rough play (sitting on shoulders, dunking, throwing). Children under 12 may not enter the pool unless accompanied by an adult. Face the pool when entering the water. No PDA. No flips from the side of the pool. Lounge chairs are reserved for adults. Only adults (18 or over) are allowed in the large pool during adult swim and lap swim. Rules are subject to change if conditions warrant. Changes in rules will be posted. No foul language, rude or obnoxious behavior. Damage to CWSC property will not be permitted (including climbing fences). Bikes must be parked outside of pool property. Other rules may be assigned by a lifeguard.

Consequences for broken rules

CWSC is a family facility.  Anyone behaving in a manner that is inappropriate will be asked to leave the facility.  

In any case where the behavior of a person becomes a problem, the manager on duty or board of directors may take the following actions:

  1.  Time out of water or away from the situation.
  2. Removal from CWSC for the day.
  3. Suspension from CWSC for more than one day.
  4. Termination of CWSC membership in accordance with the by-laws.

Diving well rules

No child will be permitted in the well unless they can pass a swim test administered by guard or management.  (The swim test consists of independently swimming the length of rope in the well & tread water for 30 seconds without ears going under water.) 

Posted diving rules must be followed.

No inward dives or flips. No backflips.

Only one person at a time on the board.

Wait until the person in front has exited the board or slide and made it safely to the side.

No stopping in the slides.

No adjusting board.

Big Pool

Air mattress, tubes, and large inflatables are allowed on designated days. (If an inflatable is too big, lifeguards can have it removed from the pool.)

No stacking tubes.

Sponge type balls are permitted.  Lifeguards and management have the right to determine if the ball is considered spongy and safe.

No swim diapers.

No diving in shallow ends.

Do not sit on steps or hang on railings.

Life vest/water wings are not to be worn. Exceptions for persons with disabilities can be made.

No squirt guns of any kind, diving rings, torpedoes, or any toys.

Medium pool

No diving.

Weight limit for the slide is 50lbs.

Diving sticks and tubes are allowed.

Do not sit on yellow steps or hang on railings.

Little pool

While no lifeguards monitor the baby pool area, please encourage your children to be respectful of our littlest swimmers.

No running in the baby pool.

Please use changing stations in the bathroom, not on the lounge chairs.

Concessions

Only concessions personnel will be permitted in the concession stand. 

Waste materials must be placed in a disposal container provided for such purpose.

Be respectful of concessions workers.
